We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of generalists focused on managing associate relations for designated areas.
Essential Functions
- Provide guidance, coaching and training to human resources representatives and/or management and assist with resolution of questions, concerns, and/or issues that arise
- Manage and administer human resources programs, policies, procedures and training
- Analyze department costs and work closely with executive and HR management team to evaluate, update, and/or generate more efficient and cost-effective company policies, procedures, programs, and/or training solutions
- Work closely with legal counsel on compliance related matters; participate in internal and external audits
- Train team members and participate in the review and feedback to managers of associate performance management
- Partner with the professional development team on talent reviews, succession development and human resources focused training
- Analyze HR metrics and generate strategic plans to address areas for improvement
- Develop and deliver human resources training
- Serve as a company representative within the community
- Assist with business activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and integrations as needed
- Confer with managers and supervisors to guide and coach on employee relations matters and company policies and procedures
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, or related field AND a minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of associate relations experience
- 2+ years of previous experience supervising associates
- Must have proven experience dealing with confidential Human Resources matters
- Proficient computer skills in Word and Excel
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be positive, flexible, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and lead in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent presentation skills and public speaking experience
- Must be willing to travel
