Anesthesia Associates of Kansas City is currently seeking a human resources manager to serve as part of the management team and to provide the full spectrum of human resources services for one of the largest independent physician practices in the region. AAKC provides the highest level of clinical care to our patients and unparalled service to our healthcare partners throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. The manager provides support to all employees along with another HR staff member.
This hands-on position is responsible for:
Planning and overseeing the benefits plans including health coverage, dental, vision, life, long-term disability insurance, and the 401(k).
Managing the leave of absence program and coordinating FMLA/ADA needs.
Maintaining an HR presence at Board of Director meetings, professional practices committee, benefits committee, CRNA executive committee, and other committees or task forces as requested.Â
Providing in-house employee training that addresses company needs.
Formulating and recommending human resources policies and objectives for the company regarding employee relations.
Assisting managers with employee relations issues.
Leading company employment law compliance.
Requirements
The position requires:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field along with 6+ years of experience including 3 years in a leadership role (experience in medical field preferred);
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to lead department as well as committees;
Knowledge of local, state and federal employment law;
Ability to balance day-to-day responsibilities along with projects;
Ability to work occasional evenings for meetings;
Breadth of knowledge in all aspects of human resources including benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee engagement;
Previous experience in managing a staff.
