Human Resources Manager – GENESYS

The GENESYS Human Resource Manager position exists to help employees be or become the best versions of themselves.  Success for this position is defined by the success of employees and the overall wellbeing of the organization. Your role helps employees define and meet their goals in whatever role they perform at GENESYS.  GENESYS leadership will invest in you to help ensure your success.

  • Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, collaborate with all other managers and employees.
  • Recruit, help interview, and ensure a positive onboarding experience for new employees.  Help them with initial paperwork and sign ups.  Make sure they are introduced to each department manager and the organization.  Check in with them multiple times during the first few weeks. 
  • Celebrate employee successes and help them improve with direct, honest, and kind feedback. 
  • Identify training needs and assist in the development and maintenance of clear work instructions.
  • Make sure employees know and trust you so they can effectively utilize your services.
  • Lead the way in maintaining a happy, highly productive, uplifting, and supportive environment.
  • Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
  • Assist the Director of First Impressions with the set up and execution of company events.
  • Help employees with career path development and management with succession planning.
  • Establish or maintain operations-related policies, and effectively communicate them to ensure consistent support and execution.  Review and update the company handbook annually.
  • Help managers and employees follow company policies for resignations or terminations.
  • Identify and pursue state and federal training grants.
  • Manage all employee benefit enrollments, changes, and yearly renewals.
  • Assist managers with tracking, consistency, and documentation of compensation and PTO.
  • Understand collective bargaining agreements to which GENESYS is signatory.
  • Serve as a backup for all aspects of the Payroll Administrator as/when needed.
  • Educate employees on GENESYS: History, Mission, Vision, Core Values, organizational structure, core competencies, key customers, value proposition, policies, and standard practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR role
  • Professional Certification by SHRM (or similar organization)
  • Integrity and experience working with and protecting the privacy of sensitive and/or confidential information and documents.
  • Ability and desire to communicate accurately and with empathy at all levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of a company’s legal and moral obligations to employees and their community. 
  • Willingness to seek help if you don’t know.
  • Passion for accuracy of documentation and follow up.
  • Willingness to be available outside of normal working hours if required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn other software platforms
