HR MANAGER (ON-SITE)
Action Mailing & Printing Solutions in Liberty, MO is seeking an experienced HR Manager/Generalist who can jump in to support the owners and employees with a positive and determined approach. Opportunity to grow with a thriving family-owned local business with a relaxed and casual work environment. This is an on-site, exempt position and the hiring pay range is $58,000 – $62,000, DOE.
Primary Responsibilities
- Solo HR and payroll department of one
- Educate and guide management in HR best practices
- Perform high volume light industrial recruitment, interviewing, selection and on-boarding processes, including partnerships with temporary staffing agencies for temporary placement assignments
- Administer COVID leaves of absences, quarantine assessments, and related reporting and policies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal employment laws
- Works closely with brokers to administer all benefit programs, e.g., medical, dental, vision, disability, work comp, 401(k) and assisting employees regarding benefit and payroll matters
- Administer FMLA, and ADA requests for accommodations
- Process weekly payroll using Paycor including timekeeping and HR changes
- Works closely with operations team to administer coaching/ counseling and/ discipline as appropriate
- Enhance and communicate company culture through policy, programs, and positive engagement
- Create and maintain policies and protocols, procedures, and reports
What we are looking for:
- 5 years of HR management or strong generalist experience in company(s) of 100+ employees
- Thorough knowledge of HR procedures, e.g., employment laws, benefits, work comp. FMLA, etc. HRCI or SHRM certification is desired but not required
- Must be a self-starter who enjoys wearing multiple hats throughout the day and can switch gears very quickly and have a desire to go above and beyond in a dynamic environment
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the business and be comfortable in a production/warehouse/office environment; bi-lingual in Spanish helpful but not required
- Prior experience processing payroll is preferred but is not required
