The Performance Management Specialist will administer, analyze data, and recommend actions for the University performance review processes. They will also administer performance competencies and skills structures.
This position will be located on the Kansas City campus and may be a combination of in-office and remote work.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources (HR), Business, or related field. Degree requirement can be substituted with equivalent years of experience in HR
Work Experience:
3 years of experience within an HR discipline
Supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
SHRM-CP or PHR
Work Experience:
Supervisory experience that included performance management responsibilities
Experience with ERP/HRIS systems, preferably Workday
Skills:
Data analysis, including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or other statistical analysis software
Process evaluation and improvement
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Job Duties Outlined:
Performance Management Administration
Contribute to the design of forms and processes for performance management elements, including performance reviews, development plans, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions.
Participate with HR Tech Team regarding system updates and Workday design changes to performance management elements.
Collaborate with Learning and Development and HR Business Partner teams regarding supervisory training on performance management topics, processes, and procedures.
Draft appropriate and timely communication to the organization related to performance review processes.
Collaborate with HR leadership and university communications on communication plans regarding performance review processes.
Coordinate with Compensation team on annual merit process.
Continually research and recommend HR best practices for the enhancement of performance management tools or systems.
Recommend and administer competency and skills models used in the performance management, recruitment, and employee development processes.
Data & Analysis
Analyze performance and related data for trends and feedback to management; provide performance outcome metrics at least annually to HR leadership.
Complete analysis of performance data for recommendations for improvement to business processes.
Review longitudinal trends in employee performance data and report to HR leadership for consideration of appropriate interventions.
