KBP Brands is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Human Resources Risk Specialist to join our dynamic HR team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Risk & Employee Relations, this role is responsible for supporting key employee relations and risk processes that ensure compliance and drive a culture of accountability. This individual will play a vital part in fielding employee inquiries, resolving sensitive matters, and managing critical HR systems and documentation.
What You’ll Do:
- Resolve employee relations matters in a timely and efficient manner, partnering with the Sr. Manager and HRBPs as needed.
- Maintain a database of hotline calls, track and follow up on issues with the field, ensure documentation is accurate, and see issues through to resolution.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Manager to address and resolve guest claims by communicating directly with guests and sharing resolutions or relevant information.
- Assist in the administration and tracking of workers’ compensation claims.
- Manage the unemployment claims portal including user setup, access coordination, and ensuring timely responses from leaders.
- Support legal and compliance-related processes by responding to subpoenas, conducting litigation and agency research, and ensuring labor law poster compliance across locations.
- Collect and compile employee documentation such as personnel files and wage statements as needed.
- Provide administrative and reporting support to the HRBP team, including participation in special projects and other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with a high sense of urgency.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Detail-oriented and intellectually curious self-starter.
- Demonstrated experience developing and analyzing HR processes.
- HRIS administration experience (Workday preferred).
- Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems.
- Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
