HR Director – Synetic Technologies

Synetic Technologies is an industry leader built upon a business model that integrates sustainability practices contributing to the preservation of our planet.  They are a trusted source for ethical and secure asset management and disposition and as part of our organization’s evolution, we are hiring a Human Resources leader to join our leadership team.  We are seeking applicants who are true HR professionals – business savvy, business partner looking for an opportunity to join an energetic leadership team and play a critical leadership role. This newly created position will be responsible for providing thought leadership and execution in the development, implementation and administration of HR procedures and practices that support best in class talent management and the company’s growth and performance objectives. 

The HR Director is expected to effectively collaborate internally with leaders/managers to proactively anticipate and identify solutions to human resources management issues and build capability for growth.  Reporting to the CFO, this position will be part of the Leadership Team partnering in organizational planning and collaborating to support overall leadership of Synetic Technologies’ business to maximize outcomes.  Key accountabilities are:

  1. Collaborate with senior management/company leaders and supervisors to build a culture that is employee-centric and fosters trust, inclusion, retention, and high-performance.
  2. Manage recruitment process to meet staffing needs and ensure that best qualified, talented employees are hired in a timely fashion.
  3. Lead and execute core HR processes delivering HR excellence in performance management, succession planning, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and compliance.
  4. Lead and develop HR team for continuous improvement and professional growth to build organizational capability.
  5. Identify and implement organizational development initiatives in support of growth strategies.
  6. Implement high impact internal communication strategy amongst all employees. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related area, or equivalent experience.   
  • Minimum 8 years of increasingly responsible human resources experience including experience within a manufacturing/warehouse industry and working with production and/or operations with a predominantly hourly workforce. 
  • Proven experience leading/implementing effective recruitment practices to meet business needs.
  • Strong working knowledge of Human Resource practices and related law, employee engagement, culture building, organization development, training and process improvement represented by a minimum of 5 years’ experience leading these activities. Experience as a top HR leader preferred.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, high level of professionalism and emotional maturity.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems and strong computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven change management experience.
  • Experience leading HR efforts related to acquisitive growth preferred.
  • Self-starter, proactive, demonstrates sense of urgency, and can-do attitude.

Full-time, salaried position on-site in North Kansas City.  Competitive salary and benefits package.  Relocation negotiable.
