HR Business Partner – TVH

We’re seeking an energetic, results oriented Human Resources Business Partner with a passion for and experience acting as a partner for manager and as a point of contact for employees in a designated department or location to provide optimal service in all areas of Human Resources including talent acquisition, talent development, talent management, benefits and compensation, and employee engagement. Located at our Americas Headquarters in Olathe, KS, as an HR Business Partner, you’ll be responsible for these essential functions:

  • Partner with human resources and department leadership in the recruitment and selection, internal mobility, employee relations, training and development in collaboration with department management and training team
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition and Talent Development Manager to suggest, implement and leverage talent acquisition and sourcing strategies and tools
  • Recommend and participates in job fairs, recruitment events on college/university recruitment opportunities to source talent
  • Own the recruitment process for designated department(s) including sourcing and driving candidates to apply, review of new applications, conducting phone and/or onsite interviews, coordination of manager interviews, conducting reference checks, partnering with management on development of offers, gaining HR management offer approval, extending offers and ensure successful completion of post offer screening
  • Partner with department and human resources management on the management of employee relations issues including advising managers on performance, attendance or misconduct, handling disciplinary action, resolving employee complaints and conducting investigations
  • Own and/or collaborate with HRBP team on leave administration management, workers compensation management, EEO/AAP management responsibilities
  • Partner with Talent Development and Benefits and Compensation team members to ensure resolution of employee questions and issues

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, communicate and ensure compliance with Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations
  • Collaborate with HR Administrator on management of unemployment claims and attending unemployment hearings and management of federal, state and personal leaves of absence
  • Partner with departmental management and talent development team to identify training needs and ensure delivery of appropriate content to employees and managers
  • Review and advise supervisors on employee performance evaluations
  • Provides guidance to management on goal setting, career and professional development for team members
  • Assists management with change management during systems and process implementations
  • Contribute to and/or lead cross-functional HR projects
  • Remain current in Human Resources and employment law to ensure solid, current advice regarding all HR matters
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals
  • Performs other duties as many be assisted

  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years work experience in performing substantially similar essential functions including experience in recruitment, employee relations, and training

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record in sourcing and hiring qualified, quality talent for designated department within a specified time period
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
  • Previous experience in research and analysis of data/information from Internet, systems, or MS Office tools
  • Demonstrated ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, regulation or government law
  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge of various employment laws
  • Proven experience and demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in an effective, positive manner with managers and individual contributors in a team environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
